55 Movies to Get You to Christmas – #49

The Butterfly Effect
“You can’t change who people are without destroying who they were.”

“I just thought that you should know.”
“Know what?”
“That you were happy once… with me.”

There are some movies that fall under into a very specific taste category like Donnie Darko, Wristcutters: A Love Story, and The Butterfly Effect.  These movies just aren’t for everyone, but for those who enjoy odd, intense, suspenseful, dramas, The Butterfly Effect might be up your alley.
What captivated me about The Butterfly Effect was the concept behind it: being able to change, distort and destroy circumstances by traveling through memories.  It’s a very intriguing idea and I love what they did with it.  This was the first time I was impressed with Ashton Kutcher as an actor.  He does a surprisingly good job with this role.  One word of advice: don’t watch the director’s cut.  The ending is absolutely horrible.
